During the month of October, Egyptian courts issued death sentences to 21 defendants in 13 cases. Among them, 3 were issued final verdicts that could not be appealed. Additionally, 51 defendants' papers were referred to the Grand Mufti in 30 other cases.

It should be noted that these numbers represent the minimum that researchers were able to determine through families and media reports.
